Scripture Reading: Psalm 1:1-3
This Study is taking a snap shot at what the profile of a blessed man is. It is remarkable that the first book in Psalms starts with a profile and pattern that God sees in a Blessed life. The Scriptures unravels three situations that occur in the first profile of a blessed life.
Three Stages for a Blessed Life
- Holy & Righteous living
- Encounter with the Word of God
- Being Planted
PLANTED
The Bible describes the blessed man as man that when he has his foundations established in righteousness and Holiness and continuously meditates the word he becomes like a tree Planted.
The word planted indicates that the tree did not find himself there by its own doing, but it was put there by someone. The word plant means “set or place in a particular position” put, place, set, position, station, situate, settle, stick, fix. It also mean to Cultivate. God put the man in spot where the presence of God would commune with him (EDEN). Eden was an atmosphere and environment of God.
This indicates that the man is set in place at a position where growth can occur, When a Farmer thinks of planting a tree, He looks for a place that will give the tree all conditions necessary to flourish and blossom. God knows the best conditions for us to flourish and blossom
Where does he plant the Man?
By the Rivers of Water: Palgey mayim- divisions of water
“ Used for purposes of irrigation to divide a garden”
The rivers of water fuel the growth and nutrients. He mentioned here Rivers, He exposes the Man to multiple streams of Blessing, and God’s Pattern for Blessing is always in multiple folds. When he planted the Garden of Eden HE release four rivers to fuel it- The Source is One- Water but flows into the Man planted. -Gen 2:8-10
Eden –(Spot, Present, Moment, Presence, Delightful moment – Open Door) is now believed to be more closely related to an Aramaic root word meaning “fruitful, well-watered.”
The rivers of water: This indicates the release of the Spirit of God on the Man, which creates an effect. The Rivers that flowed into the Garden irrigate its root with the essence of God. The river carries the very essence of God
Effect of Being Plated
- Fruiting in Season: The man flourishes in His time. He doesn’t release before its season. God brings out in due season
- His Leaf does not wither- The glory of God on His life does not diminished because He has a constant flow of God’s infusion. HE doesn’t experience dryness, shrivilness, He is fresh, He is consistently.
- Whatsoever He doeth- Prosper- there not limit to what God can do through Him
This is the original plan of God for man to bring him into Dominion.
