Topic: Christ Revealed in You
Text: I Samuel 3:1-7; Romans 8:9-11
The ultimate plan of God is that man will be reconciled to Him and begin to walk in the divine nature. We are created in His image for His purpose. God’s desire is that Jesus Christ be revealed in us. If Jesus is revealed in us we no longer live but Christ Live through and in us. We begin to reflect Jesus in our world and people can see Jesus through us.
As Christians we are not of the Flesh but of the Spirit because the Spirit of God dwells in us, which is the Spirit of Jesus. This allows us to live above Sin because we become dead to Sin and alive to righteousness. It is no longer us who lives but Christ. If Christ therefore lives in us we manifests and respond the way Christ will respond
From last week we observe that an exchange has been made, the exchange of an old man (the Adamic man) with a New Man ( Jesus Christ). We were formerly linked to the Adamic nature (old man) But when Jesus Died for us he made that exchange and as many that believe in him access that exchange done for us. Our old nature dies and the new man Christ takes center stage in our Lives
What must we do for Christ to dwell in us?
We must accept the free Gift of Salvation- Romans 5:9-15
- We must be Born again – John 3:3
- The word of God dwelling in us – Col 3:16
What Jesus Christ Intends to reveal through us
- His Love – John 13:35, Gal 5:22, Ephesians 3:17-19
- His Righteousness – Romans 1:17, Romans 3:21, 2Corinthians 5:21, Ephesians 4:24, Philippians 3:9, 1 john 2:29
- His Power– Philippians 4:13, 2 Corinthians 4:7, John 1:12, 2 Corinthians 12:9, Ephesians 3:20, Romans 1:16, Acts 10:38
- His Goodness- Ephesians 5:9
- His Truth- Ephesians 5:9
- The Riches of His glory– Colossians 1:27
