Occupy – Faithfulness

Occupy – Faithfulness

Speaker: Ps. Sydney Igbokwe
Text:  Luke 19:11-27

One of the recurring themes within this passage is being faithful the place of making gains with what God has placed in our Hands. We see the Noble man gave his servants one pound each, we have all been entrusted with this same Gospel of Jesus, the Hope of salvation for us to go out into the world and make gains for the Kingdom. Each servant came back to give stewardship of what has been given to them.

Everyone that has opened themselves to the lordship of Jesus Christ must become stewards of His grace unto them, we must show our selves Faithfull in well doing, Faithfull in the service of the Kingdom. Faithfull to the assignment of God for our lives. Our assignments we must note is tied to the fulfilling the mandate of our Lord and saviors Jesus Christ

And he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant! Because you proved yourself faithful and trustworthy in a very little thing, you shall [now] have authority over ten cities [in my kingdom].’

God desires that we prove ourselves Faithful. Faithfulness imbibes steadfastness, loyal, dedicated, committed. This I believe the Lord desires from us as stewards. Faithfulness to the assignment of soul winning and advancing the Kingdom of God on the earth. The Lord expects us as Christians to show trustworthiness which indicate reliability, honesty and dependability.

  1. We are Stewards of his grace
  2. We are in Trust
  3. We must show our selves Faithfull- Proverbs 20:6, Mathew 12:42, Mathew 16:11-12, 1Corinthians 1:9, 1 Corinthians 4:2
  4. We must seek to promote the Kingdom

To succeed in our desire to see the Kingdom of God established in our nation, cities we must apply ourselves to these two values of faithfulness and trust. The end time Church waiting for the return of the King, must be a church completely staying the course, full of integrity, faithful stewards of His word in their generation. This is not a faithfulness to ourselves but to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

We should also note that it’s not about the “Big Things” in our own eyes but God is interested in the little things he has entrusted us with in our Local church, communities. Let’s begin to ask the Lord to open our eyes to that Little things he has given unto us for expansion.

I  pray that we  stay Faithful and trustworthy to the assignment of God for us as His Church.
